two 2-story modern, minimalist boxes bookend the single story ranch style house in a downtown las vegas neighborhood. one of the additions will be used for entertaining and overnight guests. The other will be used as a home gym for training in health, fitness and life coaching.

 

cement board siding that wraps the upper levels is punctuated with digitally fabricated screens at window openings and juxtapose the "new" modern sheds against the "original" brick facade. in the back yard a cantilevered shade structure provides a place for cooking and conversation around a firepit.
